June is the perfect month for art!
Getting lots of art done this month! I just finished up with the Big Local Art Tent at the Columbus Arts Festival and now I am working on pieces for my solo show at the Short North Tavern ( http://www.shortnorth.org/dining/short-north-tavern ) for the month of July!
Still showing pieces at the Village Idiot, just south of campus, Travonna Coffee House in the Short North and at The Sweet Salvage Shop in Old Hilliard. So many places to buy Pop Art!
Oh and I'll be showing at an Open Show at CS Gallery on Parsons with opening on June 22! Please come out and say HI!
Here's a little taste of something new I have been working on. A little Frida Kahlo Altarpiece! It looks much better in person...I keep wondering if I should have added a light to the thing ;)

1st Show of May 2013

BUSY!
Been a busy week. I was back at work for the whole week after things have settled with my mom. Agora X was a hit and I sold my piece that was there! A big thank you to Ron Clark!
Been working on some new things for EcoChic Craftacular that is happening at Whetstone in Columbus on May 4th. Going to be there with my art group, Cap City Creatives, and hopefully making alot of sales! Here's a little nibble of what I've been doing this week...

Junctionview Studios, a cornerstone of the arts scene in Columbus, will be closing it's doors shortly after the Agora X Show. Columbus Alive highlighted Agora in it's latest issue and guess who's piece made the article! EEEK!

Woodys Hayes for Airways
I have a Woody Hayes painting up for auction being held at American Lung Association's Fairways for Airways being held on Monday, Apr 22nd. Please check out the link and consider donating to this great charity that is close to the hearts of both myself and the Sinzinger Family. Their son,Matthew, has such bad asthma problems and they work hard each day to help the ALA gain funds to find a cure.

I'm Alive!
Alive and Posting! Sorry it's been a little bit, so I have alot of things to share!
I've been slamming on my piece for the 2013 Agora Columbus Show at Junctionview Studios. As this is Junctionview's last hurrah, I wanted to make something big and fun.

The Background is painted with a mixture of regular spray paint and Liquitex acrylic spray paint
( http://www.liquitex.com/spraypaint/ ). Interesting stuff this Liquitex paint, I like it except for the slightly spoiled paint smell that it has. I really like the circles(using an old record). Makes me think of the lights of the Paparazzi going off as the two love birds embrace. I'm entitling this one Pop Love or How Marilyn Met Frankie. Very Happy with THIS!
Show at Max the Salon
So I have a show up at Max the Salon in the Short North right here in Columbus! Kind of a last minute deal that worked out on my end! So exciting to be able to show my work in such a beautiful space! January!!
Well it's January and it's cold and I've been getting art ready to change out at the coffee shop and making some plans for the new year. Hopefully, I will be having a 2 man show and a solo at a local art store so far...hopefully some more things to come too! Here are a few things I've completed this month!
